Note: All Scouts and adults staying overnight at summer camp must provide the Troop with completed parts A, B, and C of the Scouting American health form at least 10 days before departure. On the vaccination page, be sure to include dates (month and year). If they are just checked, they will not be accepted by health staff. Part C requires a physical, similar to a sports physical. Include a photocopy/scan of the Scout or adult's health insurance card, front and back. All adults attending summer camp must be registered adults with Scouting America. These are National organization requirements and neither the Troop nor the camp can waive them.
Notes About Summer Camp class selections. 1st Year campers (including Scouts who did not attend camp last year) should not be taking Eagle required merit badges. The Scoutmaster must approve all merit badges and other classes prior to registration. Non-Swimmers should plan to take swim classes at 9 every morning if possible. Pfeffer specializes in aquatic activities and is an ideal place to learn and pass the 2nd and 1st class swimming requirements. New Scouts (Green Dragon Patrol) should take the Eagle Bound class either morning or afternoon. This gets them through a lot of the requirements for the early ranks in one week. Please note that Fridays are for half-day merit badges that can be completed in a single session. This is a great opportunity to earn an additional badge such as Fingerprinting while at camp. - Basic Info and Tips about Camping Gear
